Experienced Carpenter

Alderwood Builders LLC is a Veteran owned, Bellingham based general contractor specializing in remodels and additions. We have an immediate opening for an experienced carpenter to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is reliable, has strong communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member, as well as work independently.

Responsibilities:

· Interact with team members and clients in a professional manner.

· Arrive on time to each project site.

· Load and unload necessary equipment and materials.

· Review plans and blueprints to ensure understanding of the scope of the project.

· Communicate with other construction team members to ensure accuracy of tasks.

· Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project.

· Perform all aspects of carpentry including framing, windows, doors, cladding systems, and finish carpentry.

· Safely operate and maintain tools.

· Maintain a clean, safe work area.

· Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.

Requirements:

· Preferred 3 + years of experience in residential construction.

· Prefer knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints.

· Pass background check.

· Possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Have your own hand-tools.

· Have cell phone.
